The Wisconsin State Council of the Knights of Columbus donated $1,224.18 from the Tootsie Roll Drive to Ventures Unlimited in Spooner on Tuesday, March 18.  Pictured are Knight Larry Ford with Rachel Nau (far left), and Kristina Oliva of Ventures.  Thank you to everyone who donated to the Tootsie Roll Drive!

The annual Lenten fish fry was again held in Shell Lake at St. Joseph's Catholic church in the church hall.  There is a lot of preparation that takes place before the doors open to the public.  Thank you to all the members who showed up to ensure that the fish fry would go smooth.  When it came time to start the fryer, we had a little scare as the fryer was not turning on when we flipped the power switch... hard to have a fish fry without a deep fryer!  Don Glessing wasted no time tearing apart the control console to find a lose wire that was causing the malfunction.  Everything went as planned after that and we served over 160 dinners, thanks to all the families that came out to eat at our annual event.  Our next fish fry, which will include smelt, will be held at St. Joseph's church in Shell Lake on Friday, April 11, 2025.  See you all there!

Dropping of Coats at the Washburn County Food Pantry 12-12-2024
