Meeting Minutes, Monday August 14, 2023
Attendance: 5 officers, 3 members

Motion to approve last month’s minutes by Paul. Second by Dave. Passed.
GK Report:
Look for upcoming events: Fraternal Benefit Night, KC training, Volunteers for Special Olympics, the movie Sound of Freedom, and St Joseph Icon returning.

Treasurer’s Report:

• CD. $

Bills and Receipts: Moved to pay bills by Jeff, second by Dan. Approved.

Membership Report: Church Drive for October.

Unfinished Business:

1. We will financially participate in the Alzheimer’s walk. If possible, we will have a Spaghetti Supper at St. Joseph Church the evening of September 16th with proceeds going to the walk.
2. No one volunteered to chair the Soccer Challenge.
3. No chair for the Catholic Citizen Essay.

New Business:

1. Allen moved to give $700 to the Stroede family, second by Jeff. Passed.
2. Town and Country Days food trailer plans started. Workers needed.
3. Adam will check with school on Punt, Pass and Kick.
4. Bill will look into the KC Hockey Challenge.
5. Our council will host one Social Sunday per month, likely starting on September 5th.
6. There is a crew serving from the Snack Shack at the hospital picnic.
7. Dan moved that we set up an account to take credit cards at our events. Second by Paul. Passed.
8. Help needed for repairing some of the wood at the SFDS playground. Watch for the announcement.
9. The State Council is offering coats at 50% off for the Coats for Kids program. FS or GK will look into this.
10. Anyone notice if our Adopt a Highway sign is posted?
11. Due to a medical condition, there is financial need for the family of a student at SFDS, but not much info on this so we tabled it for this month.
12. A mass intention for Jim Stroede was agreed upon.
