Meeting Minutes, Monday November 13, 2023
Attendance: 6 officers, 1 member
Motion to approve last month’s minutes by Frank. Second by Paul. Passed.

GK Report:
Diocesan meeting is Dec. 9, Incentive for new members in Nov and Dec. Members
need safe environment training, and The Silver Rose is scheduled again this summer.

Bills and Receipts:
Moved to pay bills by Allen, second by John. Approved.

Food Pantry Report:
The coats for the Coats for Kid program were delivered. The Shell Lake
food pantry is closing so more people are at Spooner. There is a need for personal hygiene
products.

Unfinished Business:

1. Cranberry Fest had a net income of $1,887.67.
2. The Free Throw contest is Feb. 15, 2024 from 5-7 pm.
3. We will get the Nativity Scene set up in front of the church office again.

New Business:

1. ​Keep Christ in Christmas magnets and signs will be available at church.
2. Thanks to all who supported member Ryan Silvis raised funds for the Forging Glory run.
3. We tabled whether or not to participate in the Silver Rose event.
4. Christmas trees will be picked up Nov. 15. Bill moved that we pay Mike for his gas, second by John. Passed.
5. Bill moved to donate $150 to the SFDS school hardship fund. Second by Frank. Passed.
6. John moved to donate $150 to the religious education program for crucifixes for confirmation students. Second Adam. Passed.
7. Agreed for a mass intention for Dennis Ebner.
8. Announced that we have two new members transferred into our council.
